Study suggests early ART use reduces HIV transmission

The risk of HIV transmission is significantly reduced if an infected person starts oral antiretroviral therapy (ART), according to a report released Thursday.If the patient starts the treatment right away and does not allow the disease to progresses, the risk of transmission is reduced 96%, the study said.
