Have Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp split?

It was revealed that these days Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp are living separate lives in Los Angeles. However, not so long ago the couple used to dazzle every time they appeared on the red carpet at Hollywood events together. In 2009, during the Public Enemies premiere that took place in London, Johnny Depp remembered the first time he saw the beautiful French actress. At that time an interviewer asked whether he believed in love at first sight or not.

"Yeah," Depp said at the time. "We've been together for about 11 years and we have two children. [At the time], I saw her back about 30 yards away. I saw her back and her neck. [She] turned around suddenly and looked at me – and I was stupefied."

The actor is known for his versatility and his ability to play different kinds of characters. During another interview he thanked and praised his family for standing by him and having patience while he filmed his various movies.

"My family have seen more of my movies than I have," Depp said during a press conference for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides that took place at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2010. "They've been angels through the process."

The 48 year old actor and his 39 year old, apparently former girlfriend, have two children together: 12 year old Lily Rose and 9 years old Jack. The two have not appeared on the red carpet together for more than a year. Sources believe the two have split.

An insider said: "It's so sad."
