New Bachelorette announced
Emily Maynard’s life seemed to have become so much better. The single mom from North Carolina, who was formerly engaged to Brad Womack after he proposed on ABC's The Bachelor in March 2011, has decided to move on from the split she went through. The woman announced she was going to search for love once more on the network's newest Bachelorette season. The news has been confirmed by several sources for Us Weekly.
The 25 year old woman has signed up for the eight season of the show. The filming will start in March. "She's looking for a man -- not a little boy," a friend close to Maynard told the magazine.
Bachelor and Bachelorette fans are used to seeing the fancy Los Angeles mansion in the show. However, an insider said the show will take place in Charlotte, N.C., where the woman is living with her young daughter.
"The guys will be flying to her. We're switching things up a bit," said an insider.
Approximately one year ago Maynard and Womack cancelled her engagement. Soon after the split the women received several angry messages from her ex, but stated firmly they could not reconcile.
"I wanted to be married and have more children, but I doubted he was going to still want to be with me," she told Bachelor host Chris Harrison in a July 2011 interview. "As a single mom, I don't have the luxury of saying "we'll figure it out when we get there." I need that reassurance that he'd want to be with me six weeks down the road much less six years."
