Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony working together
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are together again, at least professionally. The two have started promoting their latest Spanish reality talent show at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. In October, Univision started developing "¡Q'Viva! The Chosen," a Latin American reality talent competition, created together with Jennifer Lopez and her estranged husband Marc Antony. The show is due to premiere later this month.
In the show, Lopez, Anthony and director Jaimie King will travel across Latin America trying to find talented disciples that are able to sing and dance. Those who wanted to audition had to submit videos of themselves on Youtube.
"There are good ideas and there are great ideas, and great ideas are when everybody wins," Anthony told the crowd, talking about the newest entrant on the singing competition genre. "We had many things to consider project-wise, and it was about time to take (this) on," he said, via Zap2it.
"Working together has been great," said Lopez at the panel, through a tweet from The Insider's Jarett Wieselman. "We have a ball."
The critics and reporters who came to the event were dismayed when Anthony and Lopez answered only two questions. As a result they spat their ire on Twitter.
Before leaving, Lopez told reporters that: "We have a great time working together."
During the event the two were seen sitting one next to the other, albeit feeling a bit awkward. Anthony admired Lopez’s ring, while she gave him a high-five after the panel's end.
The show will air in the United States, Televisa in Mexico and Caracol TV in Colombia.
