Heather Locklear is fine
Heather Locklear's parents announced on Friday that the actress was "going to be just fine" after she was rushed to the hospital because of an apparent overdose. The Police told People magazine that they had answered to a "medical emergency" at Locklear's home on Thursday afternoon. TMZ explained that the actress had apparently ingested a "dangerous mix" of a prescription drugs. It is said that she mixed Xanax with alcohol. When the paramedics came to the Locklear's home in Westlake Village, northwest of Los Angeles they found the actress still conscious, but in need of hospitalization.
"She is in no danger and she's going to be just fine," her parents, Bill and Diane Locklear, said in a statement that was released by the Los Robles Hospital, the place where their daughter was currently hospitalized.
It appears that the one who dialled 911 was the actress’ sister, Colleen, who was afraid for Locklear’s mental state. She admitted she was afraid her sister "was going to harm herself."
“Her sister was the one who placed the call at 1:47 p.m., and it appears she was transported at 2:53 p.m. So they took some time to evaluate her. It was non life-threating,” Ventura County Sheriff's Department spokesman Mike Aranda admitted for the Daily News.
Talking about her current state, the hospital revealed in a statement:
"She’s talking, she’s alert," Los Robles Hospital Spokeswoman Kris Carraway-Bowman announced on Friday. "We’re currently continuing our evalution of her and we’ll know more when the tests come back."
