New deals for Kurt Busch

It is said that 2004 Champion Kurt Busch has caught the attention of three different teams since he was dismissed by Penske Racing two weeks ago. One of these teams is supposedly Richard Petty Motorsports. A second meeting with the team has apparently been scheduled for this week.
Busch's representation, John Caponigro, quickly explained that „the level of interest in Kurt has been significant, and we have had discussions with a number of teams over the past week."
It is known that whenever a talented person is on the market, NASCAR owners are inclined to dismiss previous problems believing they will be able to fix them. Busch is known for vile tirades full of profanity, but at the moment it is his talent that counts and not his faults.
"More than once, my personal talent helped bail me out of unhappy situations," former driver Bobby Allison said. "It's partly a reflection of sports in general. Talented guys have an easier chance to get a second deal, or a third deal, or a fourth deal. All sports are pretty much that way."
Moving from one team to another is hard because there are many sponsors involved. In Busch’s case Best Buy is thinking about making an alliance with AJ Allmendinger.
"Best Buy has been a great partner for a long time, and AJ Allmendinger has done a fantastic job for us,'' RPM's Robbie Loomis said earlier this week talking about Busch and his sponsors. "He's coming off his best season yet, but I can tell you there is a lot of interest on our part in having Kurt Busch in the fold.It makes sense to have Kurt with our team, if we can make it work.''
