Grand Theft Auto V trailer is released
After months of rumors and speculations, on Wednesday Rockstar Games launched a trailer for their new Grand Theft Auto V. The trailer lasts about 20 seconds, but the company uses it well to set the scene for the much anticipated game and also, apparently, presents the main character.
The trailer also gives the answer to a couple of questions. First of all, the game apparently returns to the fictional state of San Andreas, more precisely in Los Santos, a city which was created by bearing Los Angeles in mind. From the trailer we also understand that the narrator of the trailer is the main character. From his voiceover we understand that the man is a reformed criminal who moved back to Los Santos to change his life.
In the trailer he said he wanted to "retire ... from that line of work. Be a good guy for once. A family man." Gamers will probably assume that this will not be the case because the trailer turns into a video filled with car chases and holdups.
Everything up to this point is pure speculation. Digital Trends pointed out that it is very possible to see multiple points of view and several other settings in the game. Additional details regarding the game have not yet been released. The confirmation of the game’s existence was received last week when Rockstar Games announced the upcoming trailer.
Many believe the game will be released in 2012. The last installment of the game, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars sold 22 million units since it was released in 2008.
