Assassin’s Creed: The Movie

Any gamer that respects himself has played Assassin’s Creed. The history game full of conspiracies is apparently preparing for a career at Hollywood. Fans will be able to check out the story on the big screens. The best-selling video game franchise that will soon have its fourth installment released is full of action, colorful characters and amazing locations that are the key ingredients for a Hollywood movie.

As a result, Variety announced that Sony Pictures is currently working hard to finalize a deal and bring “Assassin’s Creed” to the big screen. Variety also explained that Sony Pictures won the film rights after a gruesome bidding war where it won against Universal Studios and other film studios.

"Assassin's Creed: Revelations" is the fourth installment of the franchise and is due to be launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on the 15th of November. It will, most likely, become one of the year’s greatest games. Only a glimpse at the trailer allows you to see why Hollywood wishes to see this kind of adaptation.

However, knowing Hollywood for what it is, we cannot help but wonder how bad it will mess the adaptation up!

The good news is that Ubisoft, the game’s developer, recently launched Ubisoft Motion Pictures in an attempt to have more control over these types of projects. With a franchise as loved as “Assassin’s Creed” it is to be expected that the developer will make sure the adaptation doesn’t end all messed up.

At the moment there are many excellent games such as "Mass Effect," "Uncharted,","Dead Island" and now "Assassin's Creed" on their way to being adapted to the big screen. Fans can only rejoice!
