Angry Birds already has 350 million downloads

Angry Birds is one of the most popular game franchises at the moment. At this point many already wonder whether the popular game has already reached its peak. Rovio's General Manager for North America, Andrew Stalbow does not believe this is the case. Stalbow has revealed that since the game has been launched in December 2009 users have already downloaded 350 million games. Every day users are reporting 300 million minutes of gameplay. Since June the game has reported 150 million more downloads. Since March it has tripled the number of downloads.
Apart from the game itself, its merchandise market reached important proportions. In June the company has reported having sold three million plush toys. Now Stalbow announced there are selling one million items every month, including t-shirts.
These reports are amazing for Rovio who made sure users can access the game in 25 different ways on several platforms such as iOS, Android, Nook, Chrome Web app. Moreover, the company is planning on launching a movie which will be held in-house due to the acquisition of the animation studio Kombo. Even though there has been no official statement regarding a Kindle app, fans should be expecting one in the near future considering the close relationship between the two companies.
Reports have revealed that by the end of the year two new Angry Birds games will be launched. They will feature new game styles which will be totally different from the game style users have been accustomed to. In conclusion, watch out fans, there’s much to come!
