Angelina Jolie plans to take her children to the Sahara desert
Angelina Jolie is known to like to make her children’s lives as interesting as possible. Now the famous actress is considering taking them in an adventure across Africa’s Sahara Desert.
"We want to cross the Sahara. It takes 28 days. It would have to be on a camel," the actress told the UK Financial Times. "I wonder if we could do it in pieces and station the kids along the way?"
The star who is an Unicef goodwill ambassador has already traveled the world far and wide. Moreover three of her children had been adopted from different countries: nine year old Maddox from Cambodia, six year old Zahara from Ethiopia and seven year old Pax from Cambodia. In addition, her oldest biological child, five year old Shiloh was born in Namibia and three year old twins Knox and Vivienne were born in France.
She explained that the trip to Africa would be a homecoming one for Zahara and Shiloh. The actress firmly believes that her children should keep the connection they have to their birthplaces.
"Z (Zahara) wants to get back to Africa, and Shiloh too. So everyone takes their turns in their country," the actress said."We owe Vietnam a visit, because Pax is due."
The actress also explained she wanted her children to learn the culture of the nations their siblings came from in addition to feeling pride for each of their homelands.
"They all have their flags over their beds," the actress added.
It remains to be seen when the family will embark on their ambitious journey.
